Bit of History
Java Script, in the beginning, was a simple scripting language for the simple and basic interactive web pages. By late 1995 the demand for dynamic web pages became so popular that Java was introduced. For a while it was thought that Java Script would die and Java would take over. But that proved not to be the case. Many web designers wanted a language for dynamic web pages that didn't require compiling and so Java Script continued being developed into a stronger more potent scripting language as it is today.

Today Java Script is used mostly in web pages for dynamic interactivity and not so much for games but here are a couple simple games you might like to play.
