		A Bit of History & Info     Product  n.  Something produced by human or mechanical effort or by a natural process.     Merchandise  n.  Goods [products] bought and sold in business; commercial wares.(*2)     In Chicago, Illinois there stands a building called the Merchandise Mart.  Every year, more than 11.2 million visitors go to the Mart from all parts of the world to purchase new goods.  These visitors include architects, interior designers, gift, floor-covering, and home-furnishing retailers.  More than 3,200 manufacturers have permanent displays in the Merchandise Mart.  These displays include about 11.4 million separate items of merchandise.  Special "markets" or shows for buyers are held throughout the year.  About 20,000 people work in the Mart.(*1)     The Merchandise Mart is 25 stories high.  The building covers two city blocks, and its total floor space equals almost 95 acres (38 hectares).(*1)     Marshall Field and Company built the Merchandise Mart in 1930 at a cost of $32 million.  In 1945, the Mart was purchased by Joseph P. Kennedy, former United States Ambassador to Britain and father of President John F. Kennedy.  In 1998, the Kennedy family sold the Merchandise Mart and several other properties to Vornado Realty Trust of Saddlebrook, New Jersey.(*1)     Today, with the Internet, we can take a wild guess that the Internet Merchandise Mart can possibly cover 9,000,000 square miles.  That over 200,000,000 computers are on line.  That of that 200,000,000 computers about 50% are manufacturers, consultants, resellers and other businesses displaying their wares and services.  That the amount of individual merchandise items displayed is unfathomable.  (These figures are only a possibility and not yet accomplished) Our Products     When you think about those numbers any one web site carrying merchandise seems but a pinpoint in size.  No one web site can have it all, there is just too much.  We hope to give you some small fraction of what is out there and we will continue to add more to the list of products and services as time goes by.     Our range of Merchandise may include items such as glasses, home furnishings, software, eBooks, health and beauty, games, clothes, and/or shoes.  We also have a travel club membership.  Services are in our Services area.
